Remote Support

Remote support as the name suggests is where you get full, unlimited remote support and monitoring for a fixed price per month. We will install a small piece of software on each computer that will report back to our server on a continuous basis. This performs over 100 checks including:

• • disk health
• • drive fragmentation
• • details of the last virus scan
• • when the anti-virus software was last updated
• • how much memory is being used
• • how hard the processor is working
• • how much free disk space you have
• • when windows security was last updated

Our server receives data from on each computer continuously and alerts us when there is cause for concern. Our main dashboard tells us about things like drive fragmentation that we can take care of in the background and for more critical errors like a server going offline, we get an immediate email so we can react straight away.

The above is designed to ensure that your computers run efficiently and have water-tight security to prevent problems from happening. However, in the event that you have a problem with a computer, we will attempt to fix it remotely, either by taking control of your desktop or talking you through a fix over the phone. As part of your support plan you will also receive advice on upgrades to hardware and software as appropriate.

Cost

Remote support and monitoring costs £10 + VAT per month per PC or laptop and includes ALL remote work.

Where a remote fix is not possible and a site-visit is required, a call-out charge of £50+VAT applies (for sites between 1 and 10 miles from our office in Bannockburn), £25 + VAT for sites within a mile and £75+ VAT for sites more than 10 miles away.

Remote support customers receive a 33% discount on on-site labour and will be charged £50 +VAT per hour, with a minimum of half an hour and time being billed in quarter hour increments thereafter.
