Search Engine Optimisation is a black art - a mystical skill past from father to son under terms of the utmost secrecy. Or at least that's what some search engine optimisation companies would like you to think, and charge a fortune for their services.

In truth, search engine optimisation (SEO) is nothing more than following good web practice - writing a decent amount of quality content that is well-structured and updated on a regular basis. There are also issues such as the number and frequency of key words and phrases in an optimised page and how the code is structured, but in general it is about creating a quality design and there is no reason why you should spend a lot to get your website to the top of the major search engines.

The formulae that search engines apply to websites to determine their ranking are a secret, this is true, but the easiest approach is to say 'What keeps me, as a human, coming back to one website over another?' The answer that you come to is exactly what search engines are looking for - large amounts of well-written, frequently updated content that attracts other people's attention. And by this I mean content that is linked to by other well-respected sites on the web.

We charge for making the recommendations and tell you exactly what the work is going to cost on an ongoing basis.
