Stirling Council launch new business magazine
STIRLING Council has launched a new business magazine to help local companies tap into news and key information on the Stirling economy.
“Stirling Eye” will be distributed free to more than 3000 local companies from July following a successful four-edition pilot of the new magazine.
Produced quarterly by the council’s economic development department, the magazine is designed to help local businesses keep abreast of what’s happening in the local economy and also encourage networking and profiling opportunities.
Stirling Council’s portfolio holder with responsibility for economy Councillor Scott Farmer said: “The creation of Stirling Eye is an innovative way of providing business support, information and topical debate on a variety of business issues in the local area.
“I’m delighted that it has proved to be so successful and that it will now be rolled out to all local businesses.”
Helping launch Stirling Eye, Norbord’s director of health, safety and environmental affairs Steve Roebuck said: “Stirling Eye provides a great summary of what’s going on in the local business community and the local economy.
“I would encourage other local businesses to engage with the Stirling Eye team to suggest topics that they would like discussed in Stirling Eye, or report news related to their own business.”
In the Spring edition of the magazine the council’s environment services are running a free prize draw to win £50 of vouchers for a Stirling shop of choice until April 25 for any business/business employee completing a short feedback survey.
This gives businesses the chance to influence the design and content of future editions of Stirling Eye.
This will help to ensure that the magazine is providing useful information to the business community.
