Farmore IT develop Scoot To Africa
Farmore IT has completed the design and development of the website for Scoot to Africa, a charity event aimed at raising £100,000 for Cancer Research. After being approached by Samuel Wightman, the driving force behind Scoot to Africa, and hearing his story, Farmore IT where delighted to design, host and maintain the website, all in the good name of charity of course.
Sam plans to travel from Auchterarder, Perthshire all the way to Morocco on a Scooter in an attempt to raise the funds for Cancer Research. He will be given a hand by his team who will follow behind in the support vehicle.
While Sam was just a young boy, his mother, Anne Wightman, tragically lost her fight for life to stomach cancer on the 15th June 1988. This has driven Sam and his Scoot to Africa team, to do their bit and raise funds for Cancer Research. With a target of £100,000 to raise, Sam and his team have worked tirelessly in the lead up to the main Scoot to Africa event, staging a host of fundraising events and collections.
The Scoot to Africa website contains everything you need to know about the event. Visitors can browse the Calendar of Events, get an insight into the scooter, view the gallery, view and write in the guestbook, hear Sam’s story and most importantly, they can donate.
Farmore IT would like to wish Sam all the best in his attempt to raise money for Cancer Research and for the actual "Scoot", which commences on the 2nd Of June 2008.
