Stirling Hotelier Plans £80m Luxury Spa Hotel
Stirling based hotelier Steven McLeod is planning the construction of a luxurious spa village near Larbert for around £80 million. The development is likely to consist of a 200-bedroom, 5 star complex offering world class accommodation. The plan will also incorporate a residential element to the project, with a number of detached houses and flats.
McLeod anticipates that the hotel will be one of Scotland’s most lucrative, luxurious and largest developments and he hopes that it will create in the region of 2000 initial jobs and 800 permanent jobs in the Stirling and Falkirk area.
The new development in Stirlingshire would comprise of 200 bedrooms, executive suites, penthouses, a 1000 capacity ballroom and a 600 seated auditorium. The complex will also include 2 restaurants; one specialising on food from all over the globe and the other concentrating on Scottish cuisine. Add a 22m indoor pool, external rooftop hydro pools, saunas and treatment rooms and the spa sounds amazing.
The development would be a great economical boost to the Stirling and Falkirk area with the creation of hundreds of jobs and the prospect of higher tourist visits figures. The planning application is currently being finalised before submission.
