Honda will have the new hydrogen-powered car ready for general sale in 2008, The original plan was to lease the car to users as a "motoring beta test".

Honda have amazed the motoring world by saying that the FCX will be for sale in the US and Japan for just £50,000 (despite the lack of hydrogen filling stations).

Honda are working to try and get more hydrogen pumps deployed, but they also have another trick planned: The Home Energy Station.

The Home Energy Station will hook up to your domestic gas supply and produce hot water and electricity for the house and hydrogen for your FCX, The Home Energy Station isn’t ready yet and could well be bought by FCX owners in future.
