Cloud Computing - The Way Forward
Could the days of buying expensive office software be behind us?
Cloud computing is the art of using online software such as Adobe’s Buzzword <a href = ’http://www.getbuzzword.com’>www.getbuzzword.com</a> or IBM’s <a href =’http://symphony.lotus.com’>Lotus Symphony</a> to create and share documents in the most popular formats.<br><br> While these software packages are very much in their infancy, they are definitely becoming more popular and could well be the way we all create documents in the future.
The advantages of these packages (they’re free and available online) seem to offer a viable alternative to the expensive and non-portable Microsoft alternatives but as I write, they are not quite there yet so keep watching but don’t ditch those Office 2003 disks just yet.
